Fox Realty » Real Estate and Mortgage Broker Website Design & Implementation |
Fox Realty, upscale premiere Tucson real estate and mortgage brokersl, boasts having the largest and most diverse listing mix among all other real estate firms throughout the Southwest..
Phase I of the project called for a straightforward website that created a fun yet sophisticated image that leveraged the real estate firm's success. Fox Realty also required the means to add/update listings, news and events and employment opportunites.
With an upbeat new design and a simple, intuitive navigation scheme, BijouMind Interactive provided a solution that fitFox Realty's goals. Additionally, the client can maintain their own listings database via content management technology. Future projects will include a mapping system, comprehensive property information and online alerts. |

The Phoenician Resort » Luxury Leisure Resort Website Redesign |
On most leisure industry projects BijouMind Interactive performs many roles at once. As The Phoenician Resort's lead designer, we created a unique site architecture for three different core audiences. As project manager we worked with the client to outline requirements, develop content and set goals. Also managed staff to meet milestones and stay on schedule.
As the creative director on this project BijouMind Interactive developed an elegant and unique design that reflects
Kierland Resort luxury lifestyle and resort accomodations. |

iWired.com » Corporate Site Design |
As Creative Director I developed a compelling online version of their brick and morter services. I created a site architecture based on the key content areas of the print collateral. Then I developed wireframe versions of page templates (in DHRML) to flesh out the layout and UI. I also used CSS to control colors, fonts, and design which resulted in a visually compelling easy to
use online entertainment and sercurity serivces.

Equine.com was a personalized dynamic horse marektplace website. I redesigned Equine.com and continually adding new features which utalized Equine.com's sophisticated personalization technology. In addition to user interface and design enhancements, I supported other areas of the company with my broader creative expertise including tradeshow booth design, print ads campaigns, SEO/SEM, banner ad design, eNewsletter design, and corporate identity.
Equine.com was bought out in October 2005. |

SUMCO USA » Corporate Intranet Design & Development |
Merged corporate intranet and six regional intranets into central site, refresh both with new look and feel, content organization, architecture, and navigation within the context of the SUMCO USA Intranet design rules. Worked with IT personnel and executive Corporate Communication staff to design and develop corporate intranet and six divisional intranets. Design tasks included creation of custom interface and implementation of intranet network.
Development tasks included intranet site production and development. Extract DTP files from existing documentation library, add new regional content by designing individual solution categories as “portals”, and merge with content of new intranet. Follow-up responsibilities: Create and integrate online help, Intranet support documentation and content management training sessions with tutorials. On-going maintenance. |

| Through a series of focus groups, use-case scenarios, iterative designs and usability testing, User Experience data was collected, analyzed and recommendations were made. End-user feedback revealed a strong preference for greater granularity in the navigational model, deep personalization based upon user preferences and an upbeat GUI that reflected their fashion sense and lifestyle.
The client successfully adapted their business strategies for the information age in the form of a robust, user-friendly e-commerce site, ensuring the continuance of customer loyalty from store to e-commerce website. The resulting changes created a scalable site that was dynamic and personalized.

| This site was redesigned due to a new marketing and advertising campaign. UI style guides were created to insure the website would share similar "look and feel" conventions with the media campaign. Information on users' characteristics and their tasks was collected and summarized to provide the design team with the necessary heuristic data about the usage of the website.
BijouMind Interactive was responsible for collecting, documenting and distributing raw user data to the design team and was actively involved in conceptual development of interactive solutions.

| By applying user-centered design methods throughout the lifecycle of the site redesign, user feedback interviews were conducted and videotaped for detailed task analysis, and a usability test was conducted witha sophisticated prototype.
The report of design findings and recommendations described the user-needs assessments and addressed existing usability issues. The UI designers and graphic designers worked closely to ensure that the new site design met user requirements and usability goals. Application of usability engineering led to very positive user and reviewer feedback of the new site design.

This approach enabled us to focus on the total - and positive - user experience that helps our clients retain and attract customers.

| This project required observational research, usability testing, market research, and UI design review. This project offered the unique opportunity to advance the state of the art in user interface through the development of a new site for the 'brick to click' market segment of online shopping.
Usability testing revealed an innovative online shopping experience with a navigational structure that needed revision. Direct contact with the end users during the iterative design phase helped the Information Architecture team translate the complex workflows into intuitive critical paths to build an intuitive and transparent navigational model and UI.

| Usability testing was used to ascertain the effectiveness of the site search and navigational functionality. The UI was evaluated through UEM testing sessions with multiple user profile groups. Test participants also reviewed the client site with a competitor's site. Pages were compared on their organization, content, level of detail, navigational aids and use of color and graphics.
A summary analysis was delivered presenting the findings and recommendations. The implemented changes to the site resulted in greater customer satisfaction through stronger search engine optimization and a more effective navigational model creating a compelling shopping experience for this specialized niche.

| This client understood the need to re-evaluate the consistency of the navigational model and effectiveness of user interface of their existing internet site. Based upon end-user feedback from the Usability Testing, recommendations were made to revise the ticket selection process to increase completed online ticket transactions. Subsequent log records showed an increase of 24% conversion rate of casual browser to return visitor status with a significant increase in online ticket sales.
The new site utilizes hierarchial navigation, CSS, Javascript and is cross platform, cross browser compliant, including IE5 Mac.

| Provided usability quality assurance to ensure the following: above-the-fold visibility, navigation consistency, mouse accessibil ity and minimized screen travel, minimized click stream, logically grouped functions, proper focus hierarchy, at-a-glance real-time feedback information, effective use of screen real estate, effective use of colour as well as testing the new branding scheme for end user feedback.
By working collaboratively with interaction designers, web site developers, visual designers, the implemented changes improved the website with increased usability and functionality, while the project came in on-time and within scope. |
